Lately, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to truly walk beside my patients — not just through fertility, but through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of treating people at every stage of this journey. I’ve celebrated new life with them, held space for their grief, and witnessed the incredible resilience of the human spirit.

But I’ve also noticed something: so many acupuncturists (myself included) were taught what not to do during pregnancy, rather than how to care for our pregnant patients with confidence and ease. We were trained in caution — not necessarily in trust.

That’s why I’m so excited to share that I’ve joined the PUSH Professionals Perinatal Mentorship Program with Dr. Deb Davies, DACM — a gifted Chinese medicine doctor, educator, doula, and mother who’s been supporting women and families for over two decades.

Why This Feels So Meaningful

When I think back on the many patients who’ve returned postpartum — some joyful, others tearful after a difficult birth or unexpected turn — I feel a deep pull to keep learning. Every pregnancy is its own story, and every patient deserves care that honors the whole arc of their experience.

This mentorship is about deepening that care. It’s about understanding pregnancy not as a time of restriction, but as a powerful, dynamic process that acupuncture can beautifully support. Over the next six months, I’ll be studying new tools and protocols for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — all grounded in both ancient wisdom and modern understanding.

What This Means for My Patients

I’ll be bringing even more to the treatment table: more nuanced support for pregnancy symptoms, birth preparation, postpartum healing, and emotional balance — all with the same grounded, heart-centered approach that guides my work.

If you’re on your fertility or pregnancy journey, or walking through postpartum recovery, I want you to know: you don’t have to do it alone. This mentorship is part of my ongoing commitment to hold space for every part of that path — the anticipation, the transformation, and the quiet rebuilding that comes after.
